But now, thus says the Lord, Your Creator...And He who formed you...,"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!"

“When you pass through the waters; I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow [Hebrew shataph: wash off, swallow up, or drown] you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.”

“For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” (Isaiah 43:1-3).

We live in a shattered world; and there’s no doubt that “Satan is the god of this world!” We are in his territory as trespassers and sojourners! Because we are not of this world, our Defense Attorney, the Lord Jesus Christ, offered this heartfelt prayer to God the Father on our behalf.

"...Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son…I manifested Your name to the [believers] whom You gave Me out of the world; They were yours… I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world…Keep them…I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.
